Following with our dove hunting tradition, and in virtue of all requests from our thousands of dove hunters, JJCaceria is pleased to announce its new Fly Fishing operation, an exclusive area for Rainbow Trout fishing, only one hour away from Cordoba City Airport. This area covers San Jose River headwaters and its branches, with 16,000 acres of mountains and valleys, and 6 miles of private river course. We guarantee extraordinary trout fishing, ideal to combine with dove hunting in Cordoba.

A typical trout fishing day starts early in the morning. Lunch is served either outdoors by the river banks, or at the lodge, depending on fishermen’s preferences. Dinner is always served at the lodge. Due to our shallow rivers with exceptionally clear waters, this kind of fishing can be much compared to hunting, since you will also have to “stalk” the fish and decide on the best catching strategy in each part of the river, and get close to them very slowly in such a way they cannot see you. Both, Franco and Lucio, our expert English-speaking fishing guides, will be giving you constant advise as to the best method to fish in each case, what kind of fly to use, and they will also plan your fishing day according to groups’ requests.

You’ll be able to catch around 10 trout per day per person. Stealth fishing uses dries and nymphs in small spots where the trout is waiting for its prey.You can use strike indicators too, or droppers waiting for action under or in top of the surface. There will be also a wide range of flies, mayflies nymphs, chironomids and stone flies, huge hoppers, blue duns and classic patterns such as Elk Hair Caddis and Royal wulffs. The use of light equipment is recommended (#2 or #3 rods) as usually there is no wind, but you don’t need any waders.

Our lodge is located by the banks of Parana River, in one of the best Golden Dorado fishing areas. In this area, we can offer you the ideal combo Dove and Duck hunting, as well as Golden Dorado fishing. We fly fish, or fish with hard bait or bait, and the Dorados we get are between 5 and 15 pounds.
